I never dreamed I’d meet my celebrity crush while stealing every single pair of my best friend’s pants.

Trust me, my life is not that wild. In fact, the most excitement I usually get is running my fan-favorite Insta thirst account featuring butt-tastic pics of Hollywood superhero Carter Hayes. So, imagine my shock when, in the middle of the cruise ship hallway, I realize the guy whose shirt I'm stuffing slacks inside of is Carter disguised as a tourist. How I manage not to faint dead away, I've got no clue.

When word leaks that Carter might be on board, he asks me to help him maintain his cover. There’s no way I’m gonna say no to that. I just don't share that I’m the anonymous woman behind the fan account that reported sighting him onboard. No biggie. Right?

However, when things between us go from friendly to hot to OMG-I-can’t-keep-my-clothes-on-around-him, all I can do is hope he never discovers my secret. You see, somewhere along the way, Carter went from an untouchable movie star to the man I’m falling for.

Attracting Aubrey is Avery Flynn’s newest release, and part of the Gone Wild series which follows a group of friends when they accidentally embark a singles cruise for vacation.

This was such a binge-able book, and a great quarantine read. It can be fun to read about characters going on vacation and exploring while we’re stuck at home.

“If by cool he meant utterly petrified into drinking almost an entire rum punch and praying for a giant shark to leap out of the ocean and onto the cruise ship’s top deck to eat her in one bite, yeah she was totally that.”

Avery Flynn is a great writer, and I love so many of her stories and this was no different. Flynn’s books are always fun and quick to read, and I’m always laughing! I also really liked the incorporation of characters and themes from Flynn’s other books that are set in the same town.

I’m not usually a fan of celebrity romances, but I enjoyed it here! I think it’s because even though Carter is a celebrity, the book wasn’t so in your face about it, and we didn’t have to deal with the “how do we make this relationship work because you’re famous and I’m not” like most books do.

Overall this was a fun, quick book that I read at the perfect time. If you need something lighthearted and fast pace, definitely pick this one up!

All Kendall Barnes wants is a nice relaxing cruise to reconnect with her friends from college. Instead, they’re mistakenly booked on a singles’ cruise. Despite this series of unfortunate events, Kendall is determined to follow through on her original plan… At least until she meets a gorgeous stranger who might just be enough to tempt her into breaking all her rules.

Alex Jeffries is on his first vacation in over ten years, and he hates every second of it. He can’t stop thinking about what could be going wrong with the bar he owns back home, at least until he meets Kendall and forgets about everything but kissing her. Maybe a party cruise wasn’t the worst idea after all…

Kendall and Alex embark on a sexy fling, but it only takes a few days for the truth to sink in. The mind-blowing chemistry between them is only getting stronger, and despite the expiration date they both agreed on, they can’t help wondering if this vacation fling can go the distance…

Or are they destined to crash and burn when they come back to reality?

Kissing Kendall is also part of the Gone Wild series, and another quick read that’ll take you out of your home during this quarantine.

This book is the first in the series, and kind of sets up the rest of the series, we learn why and how the group ended up on a singles cruise, and a little bit about each character that has their own story. Even though Kissing Kenall introduces us to everyone, each book can be read as a standalone.

Just a heads up, this is a very sexy book. I was not expecting it to be quite so sexual, so I wanted to give others a heads up before picking it up if that’s not what you’re into.

My one complaint about this book was that the last conflict came out of nowhere, throws a lot at you, and doesn’t give enough time to explore it. I wouldn’t have minded the conflict if there was more time to understand the situation and what was going on and how it was resolved.

Even though I was a little discombobulated by the ending, if this book has it’s own spinoff based on some of that conflict, I would definitely read it!

Again, this is another fun book that’s quick and easy to read, and perfect while we’re stuck at home!
