Taking a look back at what happened in the month of July.

Gen’s Life Happenings

  • July has been the month of going to beaches. I’ve been a tourist in my own Island because I had never visited the beaches I went to. Everything was beautiful! Forget traveling to Europe, I’m staying in PR and going to all these gorgeous places.
  • Even though I haven’t been up to date with blogging or visiting blogs, taking the break I needed was great. It wasn’t a full break since I was around but just going out with friends all the time and seeing my boyfriend definitely helped so I’m happy to have my mojo back!

Books Gen Read

I read 17 books this month! Only 16 are featured because Micalea Smeltzer’s new book When Stars Collide‘s cover releases this week. I had a really good reading month. There were lots of 4 stars with 1 or 2 5 stars (still deciding if I should bump Swear on this Life‘s rating).

Gen’s Memorable Mentions

swear on this life p.s. i like you the-summer-games-out-of-bounds

Swear on this Life was beautiful! I read 82% of the book in one sitting! I was sleepy so I ended up reserving the rest for when I woke up. P.S. I Like You was such a cute and feel-good story. It’s my favorite by Kasie West <3 Out of Bounds was HOT! Hallelujah for all that hotness and sexiness and steaminess.

Gen’s Crush of the Month

Erik is a god. He’s a gymnast that’s totally ripped. I love his passion and I love how sexy and dirty this guy can get!

  1. Yay for a month of beaches 🙂 I love the beach so much and the pictures you have shared previously are gorgeous. Looks like a great reading month!! I really enjoyed Swear on This Life and PS I Like You. Your IG is awesome as always. Have a great August!!

  2. Rowena

I live about 10 minutes from the beach in Southern California and I don’t go to the beach nearly as much as I probably should. I take the beach for granted and that’s something I need to fix. I’m glad you’re enjoying your beaches though. Trips to the beach can be so relaxing.

Looks like you had a great reading month and your bookstagram looks fantastic too. I’m super jealous since I’m not nearly as clever with taking pictures of books.

    Happy August!

    • That used to happen to me. I would live in a city where the beaches are fantastic and would rarely go. Now that I moved to a city that the beaches aren’t the greatest, it’s when I travel all over the island for the beaches haha

Thank you! I’m not that good on instagram. I simply try. Sometimes I get so frustrated with it, but it happens. Thank you, though 🙂

  3. Ooh beaches sounds so good! I visited some beaches at Bali this summer and I missed it already! I agree with P.S I Like You. I read it too and gave it 5 stars right away because it’s so adorable <33 Glad to know you have a great month!

  4. I did a lot of exploring of my own locale this summer too – it’s fun to discover new things without going all that far! I really need to read Swear on This Life – sounds like everyone’s loving it!
