Teresa Hamilton is having a rough year—she’s in love with her big brother’s best friend, but he hasn’t spoken to her since they shared a truly amazing, mind-blowing, change-your-life kiss. She got out of a terrible relationship. And now an injury is threatening to end her dance career for good. It’s time for Plan B – college. And maybe a chance to convince Jase that what they have together is real.
Jase Winstead has a huge secret that he’s not telling anyone. Especially not his best friend’s incredibly beautiful sister. Even though he and Teresa shared the hottest kiss of his life, he knows that his responsibilities must take priority. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But it doesn’t help that all he can think about kissing the one girl who could ruin everything for him.
As they’re thrown together more and more, Jase and Tess can’t keep denying their feelings for each other. But a familiar danger looms and tragedy strikes. As the campus recovers, the star-crossed couple must decide what they’re willing to risk to be together, and what they’re willing to lose if they’re not…
In this second installment of the “Wait for You” Saga J. Lynn tells us the story of Jase Winstead, a.k.a Cam’s best friend and Teresa Hamilton, a.k.a Cam’s sister. For those of you who don’t know who Cameron Hamilton is.. he is basically PERFECTION! YEP! No other way to describe him. GO READ WAIT FOR YOU. Anyway, in this story we get to see a romance between two characters that have a very difficult past and how that past gets in the way of their undeniable love for each other.
Jase. I’m going to be honest and say that it took me a while to like Jase. I mean I really liked him and his friendship with Cam in “Trust in Me” so I was really excited to see his story. I was a Little disappointed. He is the definition of hot and cold. One moment he is okay and the next he changes completely. Don’t get me wrong I’ve read characters that are like that but still make the story interesting, unfortunately this was not the case, his drama and his attitude made the plot quite repetitive sometimes. I did like his story though. I love what J. Lynn did to give us a view of his past and the struggles he has at this point of his life.
I was so scared starting this book because I was afraid I was not going to like the whole sister and best friend story but I was pleasantly surprised by it so that’s a plus. And Tessa. I loved her, her personality and her story. I think she is a pretty amazing female character. I would have loved to see in much more depth her past and how she overcame it but we can’t have what we want right?
A fair warning to those who don’t like books that talk about abuse and dysfunctional relationships. This may not be your cup of tea. This book talks about the consequences of an abusive relationship.
I was expecting more depth in Tessa’s story but I can honestly say I enjoyed this book very much. I’m 100% positive when I say that J. Lynn can do no wrong with me. I love her writing style, her stories and her characters. This woman has a talent for publishing one amazing after another. Totally recommend this book to New Adult lovers everywhere!

“Time was a funny and fickle thing. Sometimes there was never enough of it, and other times it stretched out endlessly.”
