BUZZWORDATHON TBR | YOU

Buzzwordathon is coming up in June, and I’m so excited to finally participate in a round! I’ve been too busy during other rounds or I didn’t hear about them until it was too late, so I’m glad I can now finally participate. One of my goals this year is to participate in more readathons, and this is the perfect one to do since I have a few books that have been sitting on my shelves for a while that fit the challenge here. Buzzwordathon was created by BooksandLala, and is hosted by her and Chanelle. This readathon takes place from June 12 through June 18 and the word this round is “you”. While looking through all my books, I realized I don’t actually have too many books with the word “you” in the title that I haven’t read yet. I’m not sure if I’ll read all of them for the readathon, but here’s the books I can choose from:

TBR

Say You Still Love Me – I won a Goodreads giveaway (FINALLY) for one of my most anticipated reads, K.A. Tucker’s upcoming release. I’m super excited about this because she’s one of my favorite authors and I love everything I’ve read by her. I got this book a couple weeks ago, and was planning on reading it closer to release date but instead I’m going to read it for this readathon.

Maybe You Should Talk to Someone – I read a few chapters of this a couple weeks ago when I checked this out from the library. I loved the few chapters I read so much that I added it on to my BOTM this month, and haven’t picked it up because I want to savor it while reading. I’m so excited to finally continue with this book (because it’s about counseling, yay!).

You Are a Badass at Making Money – I’ve had this book on my tbr for a while, and I’m not sure if I even want to read it. I tried reading this author’s other book a few months ago and DNFed it because it was meh. It was so repetitive and very surface level and there wasn’t much to take from it. I’m not sure if this book is going to be the same, but I may as well try it that way I can get it off my shelf.

Would You Rather – I’ve had this book on my shelf for a while too. I read her other book Never Have I Ever like four years ago and loved it because it was so funny. I picked this one up because it’s about how she realizes she never had a boyfriend because she’s actually gay. I’m a little wary to read this because apparently she’s made some negative comments recently. Either way, I’ll read it and get it off my unread shelf, or I’ll DNF it and get rid of it.

It’s Not You It’s Him – I was approved for this ARC a few weeks ago, and knew I was going to save it for this readathon. It’s supposed to be a cute contemporary romance (which is all I know about it), and I’m so excited to get to it!

If You Love Me – I picked this up from my library last week and was planning on starting it the other day, but decided to wait for Buzzwordathon because it’s one of the only books I have that has “you” in the title. This is a nonfiction book a mother writes about her daughter’s opioid addiction.

If you’re participating in Buzzwordathon let me know what books are on your tbr!

  1. I am on the fence about joining. If I do end up participating I will read Where’d You Go Bernadette and/or You Asked for Perfect. Best of luck during the readathon!

    • Good luck if you decide to participate! Ooh, I read Where’d You Go Bernadette a few months ago and really enjoyed it, it’s such a fun quick read! Thanks

    • I’m super excited about K.A. Tucker’s book, she’s definitely a favorite author of mine. I can’t wait to read and share my thoughts on It’s Not You It’s Him!
