It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted on the blog. I’m back with another update on the progress I’ve made on my Currently Reading Shelf. I have a few books that I’ve started recently and haven’t finished, but I haven’t added them to this challenge yet, maybe if they’re there for another month I’ll begin to add them. Anyways, now that I’m trying to get better at blogging (again), I’m hoping to prioritize these books.
what I read
Eight Dates – I started with this book at 50% and finally finished it. I’m not sure why I put it down the first time, it’s a short book with a lot of helpful information for relationships. Overall I really enjoyed this book, it has 8 different ideas for dates, along with why that specific date is important, and questions to ask each other. I do wish this was more intersectional, it was definitely written for couples in a heterosexual relationship.
Stamped From the Beginning – I’m a little bit embarrassed to share that I’m only 40% of the way through this. That means I only read 4% since my last update. I’m really enjoying this book, but it’s definitely one I have to put a lot of focus into, which is hard to do after work sometimes. This book is also huge, and definitely not one I want to tote around with me everywhere. I know the audiobook is currently available on Spotify, so I may try that soon.
My focus until the next update will be reading more of Stamped From the Beginning, as well as finishing The Rebel King, and hopefully get started on American Sweethearts.
Let me know if there’s a book you think I should prioritize!
