Hey everyone, I’m here to announce a readathon I’m cohosting at the end of the month! Brooke from Brookesbooknook and I are hosting a readathon to encourage ourselves and everyone participating to read the unread books we keep collecting on our kindles/ereaders. I know I have a serious problem about buying books because they sound good or are on sale, but then forget about them and never read them (oops), so I’m excited to finally get to those books!

Our readathon takes place May 27 – June 2, 2018, and we’re planning tbr challenges, reading sprints, and instagram challenges for everyone to participate in as well! Instagram challenges and sprints will be announced the day of, but we already have our tbr challenges posted on our instagram and twitter account (make sure to follow both our insta and twitter pages because that’s where we’ll be sharing information about challenges and sprints). Without further ado, our challenges for this round of the readathon are:

  1. Oldest book on your ereader
  2. Ebook you got for free
  3. Ebook you forgot about
  4. Daily deal impulse buy
  5. Free choice

Just One Damned Thing After Another – I forgot about this book until now when I was looking through all the books on my kindle (oops). This is about time traveling historians (I think), I don’t remember why exactly I bought it, probably because I saw it on a list somewhere and it sounded interesting at the time

More Than Words – This book hasn’t come out yet, but I DID get it for free to review so I’m counting that for this challenge. I’ve heard so many good things about Mia Sheridan, and so many good things about this book specifically, so I’m excited to read it!

The Dreamer – When I first started following people on Instagram, I was immediately drawn to E.J. Mellow’s account because her pictures are so aesthetic, and she’s an author. I remember reading her book The Animal Under the Fur, but I didn’t realize that I bought the first book in her first series as well. Hopefully I’ll enjoy this book as much as her other one!

Girls Who Travel – I try to control myself when I see daily deals, and most of the time that works! But sometimes, I find books that I’ve heard great things about and I buy them but forgot to read them. This is one of the books I wanted to read, but then never picked up once I actually owned it, hopefully I can get to it during the readathon and enjoy it!

Final Draft – Another ARC on my list. I LOVE Riley Redgate, and I can’t wait to finally read her newest book. I’ll definitely have a review up for this as it gets closer to the release date!

I’m so excited to host and participate in this readathon, and I hope y’all will join us to finally read some of those books just sitting on our ereaders!

  1. This sounds like a great idea! I haven’t finished an ebook in such a long time. It’s been a couple of months now, I think. I’ll definitely participate on this readathon! I just followed both of your twitter accounts as well as the ebookathon account 😀

  2. Fun challenge! I’ve been trying to go through my e-reader more and actually read things, but I know I have a lot of e-books from a long time ago that I need to get to!

    • That’s how I am, I have so many books from so long ago and I STILL haven’t read them! I hope you’ll be able to join us during our readathon!
