Last week I saw a post by Ari at Book. Libraries. Also, Cats on her weekly library haul, and thought it would be fun to do something like that here. I work at a library now while I’m in school, and it’s so dangerous because I keep taking books home! I want to share with y’all what I checked out/put on hold from the lib recently, let me know if you’ve read any of these and which I should move up to read next!
Written in the Stars – I checked this out, finished it the next day and then turned it back in, which is not something I do often with library books! This was definitely a five star read from me, and one of my favorites of the year so far. I picked this up because I finished Aisha Saeed’s other book Amal Unbound, and wanted to read more from her.
Where’d You Go, Bernadette – I’ve heard so many good things about this book, and it’s been on my tbr for so long that I finally picked it up. I also finished this one a day after checking out, so maybe I’m not so bad at this borrowing library books thing! This was such a quick read, and I really enjoyed how it was formatted (mostly through emails and transcripts).
If We Were Willians – I picked this up earlier this week, and can’t wait to read it. I’ve heard so many good things about this book from basically EVERYONE on twitter and Instagram so hopefully I enjoy it just as much.
Beartown – I finally picked up a book by Fredrik Backman! I’ve hear so many good things about his book, and can’t wait to get to it. I’m planning on participating in #24in48 this weekend and reading this for it.
I See You – Lol I picked this up a while back to read it with my friend, but I still haven’t gotten to it yet (this is a problem with not getting fines for late books). I’m also hoping to get to this book during the readathon.
Fruit of the Drunken Tree – This book was EVERYWHERE a few months ago, so of course I picked it up. It’s not something I would normally pick up to read, so fingers crossed I enjoy it when I get to it.
Captive Prince – I got this from Libby earlier this week because I want to start reading this series that I hear so much about. The good thing about ebooks is that I’m forced to read them sooner since I can’t keep them longer than their due date.
The Wife Between Us – I read An Anonymous Girl last month and really enjoyed it, so I picked this up to read the duo’s debut novel.
Pipe Dreams – This is a reread, and one I need to return since I just finished it. I checked this out because I wanted to reread it before Sarina Bowen’s newest book was released.
The Poet X – I heard so many good things about this novel, but I’m not a huge fan of novels told in verse so I checked out the audiobook instead. I finished this yesterday, and omg it was so good and I’m so glad I read it. The audiobook was the perfect way for me to devour this story because I think it was more impactful than if I had read it myself.
Big Little Lies – I’ve had this series checked out for a while already, and I really need to watch it because the book was so good, and the one episode I’ve watched was v good. Fingers crossed I get to it in the next few days!
