It’s been a while since I’ve done a library haul, but I’m back with another one! This one’s a little longer than the last few because I haven’t shared my hauls recently. After doing Try a Chapter with the overwhelming number of library books I had out, I’ve been a little more thoughtful in the books I check out.
Maybe You Should Talk to Someone – I saw this book and I knew I wanted to read it because it’s by a therapist, which is what I’m studying. When I saw it was available at my library I quickly picked up a copy. So far I’ve read like three chapters, and enjoyed it so much that I just added it to my BOTM for May…oops.
Say You’re Sorry – I saw this while browsing the new release shelves, and was intrigued by the cover. This is a massive book, over 500 pages! I read this one pretty soon after checking it out, and it was a fun romantic suspense!
Unmarriagbeable – 2019 is the year of so many Pride and Prejudice retellings! I’ve read a few, and want to continue reading more, so I checked Unmarriageable out.
Keep Her Safe – I love K.A. Tucker, and I picked this book up because I needed to read more by her while I wait for her new book. I actually read this one immediately after I checked it out, and it lived up to my expectations.
The Love and Lies of Rukhsana Ali – I’ve heard so many good things about this book and have wanted to read it for a while. Thankfully my hold on this came up this week, so I’m planning on reading it soon!
The Highwayman – I’m part of a buddy read on Instagram, and not even a day in the group message became a place to recommend romance novels. So many people recommended this one, so I immediately checked out a copy.
Karamo – Another book I had on hold that came in recently. I love Queer Eye and I wanted to read Karamo’s memoir because I love him, and because he used to be a psychotherapist!
Hurts to Love You – I love Alisha Rai, her Forbidden Hearts series. My hold for the final book in the series came in, and I devoured it immediately!
The Ash Family – A book about a cult? Yes please! I actually listened to this one on the long drive to visit my bf, and it was interesting. It’s very slow paced, and not super in your face, which is kind of what I was expecting.
Beyond Belief – I checked out the physical book for this a couple weeks ago, but immediately checked out the audiobook so I could listen to it on my drive back. The audiobook, and this memoir were so good!
