It’s been a while since I shared a library haul with y’all! I decided to share another one, and make this a more consistent series on the blog, because I keep checking out ridiculous numbers of library books and need a way to hold myself accountable.
The Au Pair – There was a lot of buzz surrounding this book before it’s pub date, but since then I haven’t really heard much about it. This is a book I probably wouldn’t have sought out, but I saw it on the shelf and thought “why not” and checked it out.
Matchmaking For Beginners – I forgot where I saw this book, but a booktuber was talking about it a while back and it sounded interesting. This is another book I probably wouldn’t have gone out and looked for, but I came across it while browsing and decided to check it out.
Saga (entire series) – Okay, so instead of posting a picture for every book in the series, I’m posting the first one, even though I checked out all nine. Initially I checked out the first two, and really enjoyed them so I picked up the rest of the books the next time I went to the library.
Shortest Way Home – I’ve been intrigued with this book for a while, and I was super excited to see that my library had a copy available!
Lumberjanes (vol. 1-3) – I’ve been trying to get into graphic novels recently, and I’ve heard good things about this series, so I decided to pick up the first few volumes. I normally wouldn’t check out so many books from a series at once, but all the graphic novels I grabbed were super short so I don’t feel bad.
Lumberjanes/Gotham Academy – Another graphic novel. I’m not really sure how it fits into the series, but I checked it out anyways lol.
Monsters Volume 1 – The last graphic novel I picked up most recently! I’ve heard lots of good things about this series too, and the artwork looks pretty, so yeah lol.
Advanced Physical Chemistry – I’ve seen lots of good stuff about this series online, and the newest book in the series recently came out. I know this isn’t the first in the series, but I believe it can be read as a standalone. This seems like such a quick read, and I hope it lives up to my expectations.
Tell Me How It Ends – I read an article with a list of books to read about immigration and asylum and this was one on the list. It’s a super short book, around 100 pages, and about ten pages in I realized I was highlighting a lot and needed my own copy so I went out and bought one. This is such a good book, and if you only read one book this year, I recommend it be this one!
Small Town Hearts – I’ve heard a whole lot about this book, and my hold finally came in! I’m super excited to dive into this one soon!
How to Walk Away – I’m done with this book now, but I checked it out at the beginning of last week to buddy read it with a few friends from work. Overall I really enjoyed it, even though there were a few issues I had with the story.
The Obelisk Gate – I loved The Fifth Season when I read it last year, but for some reason I still haven’t picked up the second book in the series. I decided to check the audiobook out, that way it’ll give me more of an incentive to get to it and finish it soon.
If you’ve read any, let me know which one(s) I should prioritize!
