Taking a look back at what happened in the month of March.
Victoria’s Life Happenings
I can’t believe March is over, so much happened this month! I had spring break during the middle of the month, I didn’t take off work so I was only able to go home for a few days. Being home was great because I was able to hang out with one of my sisters (and was super bummed that I left the day my other sister came home), and I ADOPTED A CAT! It was totally a spur of the moment decision, but 100% worth it. I’ve always wanted a cat, but finally decided to just go for it. She’s a cute black cat, about a year old, and her name is Pepper. She’s a very calm cat most of the time. I flew home, so I had to take Pepper with me on the plane on my way back, and that was such an experience! When I got to security I was told I could hold her and go through or I could go to a private room to have her carrier searched. I decided that since she’s so calm I’ll just hold her as I go through security (lol). She was very calm, but once we went through and she saw her carrier she freaked out and clawed her way out of my arms. I was terrified because THE AIRPORT IS HUGE, HOW AM I GOING TO CATCH MY CAT?! Luckily she ran into a small room right next to security and I was able to get her back into her carrier. Thankfully that was the only drama, and she was calm afterwards and slept during the flight.
Books Victoria Read
Overall this month was a little all over the place with my reading. I had some amazing books, some not so great books, and some books that were just okay. I was able to reread one of my favorite series, and it definitely is just as good the second time around!

Victoria’s Fave Book
I had quite a few 5 star reads this month, and it was so hard to choose which book was my favorite. I definitely have to go with Pride, Prejudice, and Other Flavors. Like the title implies, it’s a retelling of Pride and Prejudice, but it has a different spin on it. I have a review already written that’ll be posted closer to release date!

Yay for a cat!! Glad all went ok in the airport with her. Lost of books this month. I defintwlt need to check ot your favorite plus Dopesick sounds interesting. Hope you have a great April!
Me too! I was terrified for a few minutes. Dopesick was really good! Before reading I really had no idea about the opioid crisis, so this book really opened my eyes to what is going on. Pride and Prejudice and Other Flavors was amazing, and I definitely recommend that one as well! It was so good!
WOW! Quite a lot of reading there!! A few of those I need to make sure are on my GR list. 🙂 Glad your cat didn’t run too far at the airport. As I was reading it, I had to giggle. It felt like a movie scene. Happy April!
Yes, March was SUCH a good reading month for me! Me too, I was terrified for the few minutes it happened, but looking back now it’s kind of a funny story to tell. Happy April!
Congrats on adopting a cat! Both of my cats were pretty spur of the moment ideas too! I’m happy to hear that Pepper travels well, one of mine….well let’s just say he does not travel well (lots of paper towels in his carrier and in the car).
Thank you! Oh no, that sounds miserable, poor guy 🙁
I’m glad the cat didn’t cause too much chaos in the airport. I flew with an 8 week old puppy once, and she was surprisingly calm about the whole situation. I hope you’re having a good April.
Me too, I probably would have ended up having an anxiety attack if it had gone any other way :/ Glad your experience with a puppy on a plane was a good one! Thanks, you too!
