Taking a look back at what happened in the month of June.

Gen’s Life Happenings

  • Vacations officially started woo! This meant lots of time at the beach! I also stayed at my boyfriend’s house with a group of people and every day we were at the beach. There was one day where we went to 3 different beaches! It was such a blast!
  • I also got to meet Jennifer Niven! It was a memorable evening for me <3
  • I’ve been going a lot to coffee shops with my best friend! It is safe to say this has been a great month for me.
  • I hope July continues being great since it’s my birthday month! *throws confetti*

Gen’s Memorable Mentions

After I Do was the best thing I read all month and I still go back to read all the quotes I had highlighted. How It Feels to Fly is a book that so many need to read, since it deals with Anxiety and having that inner voice that leads you to think you are worthless. Broken Prince, oh how you left me in a book hangover. I need book 3! Finally, Vernal was AMAZING! This is the spin-off to The Revelation Series, which is an all-time NA Paranormal fave of mine. The author did not disappoint with this one and MY HEART IS BROKEN!! *SOBS* Book 2, come to me *opens arms*

Gen’s Lowest Rating

Up in Flames was just horrible. I don’t understand how this can be even published *shudders*. I DNF’d The Loose Ends List and I made my first DNF review here on the blog for this book.

    • That was just a horrible book. I lent my copy to a friend and when I told my boyfriend (whom I told the whole story), he said, “Why would you lend such a crappy book? Like, what’s wrong with you? No one should read that garbage.” I just stared at him and then burst out laughing because he’s right. I now have two copies that the publisher sent and I’m like I don’t want to burn these copies even though that’s what they deserve but I don’t want to give them away either since it’s just a bad bad bad story.

I’m a July baby too! Happy Birthday. Sounds like June was a pretty great month. Here is hoping that July rocks, too!
