READ FIVE BUY ONE UPDATE | 4

I shared an update on my read five, buy one ban last month, but I thought it was time for another update! I haven’t been doing so hot this month, and have been buying books a little more frequently than one for every five, but at least I’ve been making progress with my unread shelf! Last month I had 101 unread physical books on my shelf, and currently I have 95. Even though I’m knocking books off my shelf, I need to get better at waiting to read five before buying more.

MY PROGRESS:

  1. The Menendez Murders
  2. Fix Her Up

bought: The Friend Zone

  1. Dirty John

bought: Waiting for Tom Hanks (already read my eARC and wanted a physical copy), Pipe Dreams, Bittersweet (I’d already read both but didn’t have copies of my own), and From Lukov with Love

  1. From Lukov with Love
  2. The Friend Zone

bought: Lingus

  1. Her Body and Other Parties

bought: Aussie Rules, The Lemon Sisters, Kulti

  1. Aussie Rules
  2. Lingus
  3. The Lemon Sisters

bought: Luna and the Lie

  1. Maybe You Should Talk to Someone
  2. Six of Crows
How’s your book buying ban going?

  1. This is a very admirable book buying / collected book reading plan. I could NEVER pull this off. I allow myself to buy my must-read author’s books at whatever price but preferably at a sale price when I can wait. I also one-click FREEBIES and books on sale with an audiobook whisper sync deal if I can’t get the audiobook from my local library’s e-Media collection.

Good luck with your book buying plan!

    • Thanks! I definitely don’t stick to it as well as I’d like to, but I really needed to do something because I was buying way too many books and it was so expensive and overwhelming.
