A few months ago I wrote a post about how I’m trying the read five buy one challenge, to limit the amount of unread books on my shelves. Unfortunately I haven’t stuck to the read five buy one, BUT, I have definitely been more picky about which books I buy and when I buy them. I’ve also started reading the books I buy much quicker than I have in the past.
I think if I’m going to continue with this challenge, I need to alter the rules a little bit. When I first started I decided that ebooks count towards the challenge. Since I’m not too worried about my elibrary, so those don’t count anymore. I’m more focused on working through my physical tbr instead. Since I didn’t enact this rule until I got more into the challenge, the beginning has a few eARCs I read and counted towards my five.
- The Simplicity of Cider
- When It’s Right
- Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating
- We Fed an Island
- So Close to Being the Sh*t Y’all Don’t Even Know
bought: The Good Luck Charm and The Simple Wild. I KNOW, I bought two books instead of one, oops. On the bright side, I read The Good Luck Charm as soon as I got it!
- Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke’s Heart
- The Husband’s Secret
- Fierce Fairytales
- Fight or Flight
bought: Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating (which doesn’t count since I already read the ebook, and just wanted a physical copy) and Satisfaction and Revenge. I also bought The Governess Game as soon as it was released, but I read it (and the other two books) immediately.
- The Governess Game
- Escaping From Houdini
- All of This is True
bought: I bought a final copy of Escaping from Houdini (because the ending is different than in the ARC!) This weekend is also my library’s book sale, so I might go a little crazy with books. Let’s see how well I do now that I’m more selective about my books!
