She didn’t expect to fall for her best friend.
He was always waiting to catch her.

Corinne Bennett lives in the moment. Whether she’s skydiving out of an airplane, or setting off on the road to anywhere, she’s ready to dive into the next adventure. That is, if best friend and always-by-the-book Nicholas Kelley doesn’t put his foot down on her wild stunts first.

When Corinne gives in to her growing feelings for Nicholas the summer before their freshman year of college, she takes the ultimate risk, making this one adventure he has longed to explore with her.

But the moment they take that irrevocable leap, a shocking revelation blindsides Corinne, exposing her vulnerabilities, baring her fears, and shattering her beliefs about love. With their future—and most importantly, their friendship—now clouded in doubt, she must decide if love is really worth the risk.

Because when it comes to love, you never stop falling.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I’ll be completely honest with you guys. The cover is freaking gorgeous and that’s what got me to need this book in my life. When I read the description, hinting at a second-chance romance, I was beyond sold. I requested it without a doubt! But then I read a review that concerned me. They mentioned a trope I don’t like View Spoiler » so my excitement died down. Fear not! The author did a fantastic job in including this aspect in the story that even I, someone who despises this trope, ended up adoring the story!

sigh happily

Corinne and Nicholas have been best friends for a long time! Nicholas has always had feelings for her but Corinne has now started to Nicholas and she tries to hied it but pretty soon both give in to each other. Unfortunately, this love-fest doesn’t last because Corinne makes a decision that ruins this new-found attraction, which made me so frustrated! I remember reading this book at work at the library and wanting to yell at Corinne but alas, I could not do such thing at the library. Years later, Corinne is back and she’s engaged. Nicholas has also moved on with someone else. Both Corinne and Nicholas are very civil and friendly but the feelings haven’t evaporated. They start creeping in slowly yet strongly! I was so cheering for them! I did not forget the trope in this but I was just so excited for them and I was believing their romance so much, I started to ship them.

Oh and guess what? There’s a plot twist! At first, I was confused but when it happened I WAS IN SHOCK! I was so confused but at the same time I knew what was happening. My poor heart did not want to believe it! I started to get tears! The author really hooked me on so much that my emotions were on a roller-coaster ride.

This was a very well-written dual POV story. I love when the stories alternate between the two main characters so I can get more insight into each characters’ thoughts. For a debut novel, this was amazing. I applaud Ashley Drew for writing a stunning second-chance story.
