Is this love or just a game?

Tori Rivera thinks Jamie McCade is rude, arrogant, and worst of all . . . the sexiest man she’s ever laid eyes on. His reputation as a player is almost as legendary as his surfing skills. No matter how her body heats up when he’s around, she’s determined not to be another meaningless hookup.

Jamie McCade always gets what he wants. The sickest wave. The hottest women. And Tori, with her long legs and smart mouth, is definitely the hottest one. He knows Tori wants him—hell, most women do—but she won’t admit it. After months of chasing and one unforgettable kiss, it’s time for Jamie to raise the stakes.

Jamie promises that soon Tori won’t just want him in her bed, she’ll be begging for it—and he might be right. Somehow he’s found the spot in her heart that makes her open up like never before. But with all she knows about his past, can she really trust what’s happening between them? Is Jamie playing for keeps or just playing to win?

After reading Four Letter Word, I had no idea how Hit the Spot could possibly be better. I underestimated the talents that J. Daniels possesses because I ended up LOVING this sequel even more! Was it possible it was because of Jamie? Uh, YAAAS!

“I wouldn’t sleep with you if my life depended on it.”
“Wanna bet?” […] “First one to break and come crawling to the other person for sex loses.”

Jamie and Tori have been at it for so long! Jamie pushes and teases Tori, but she never gives in. She’s more pissed off at him than anything, even though she’s very much attracted to the guy. When Jamie suggests a bet, Tori is sure she has this in the bag, but Jamie won’t play fair. He kicks things up a notch and with all his dirty talk, he’s sure Tori won’t last. But Tori has a few tricks up her sleeve as well. It turns into a game of teasing until they cave.

“My hands are gonna be all over you for the next hour and don’t even think for one second I’m not gonna take advantage. You wave opportunity in my face, and babe, I’m takin’ that opportunity, meaning you’re fucked, Legs. Just bein’ around me gets to you. Now you’re offerin’ this? You might as well throw in the towel now. Or just start moaning right here. We both know that’s comin’.”

I knew I would be in for a major treat with whip cream, chocolate syrup and a cherry on top when I started Hit the Spot. I was already falling for Jamie in the first book and my feelings got stronger for him in this novel. HIs relationship with Tori is so full of sexual tension! I was going insane over here, wanting something to finally happen! The bet made the tension between them intensify and I couldn’t wait for them to get it on. Seriously, these two made fireworks and all the things explode.

Jamie didn’t look like sweet, simple missionary sex. Not even when he smiled. Those dimples were a ploy he used as bait. He was mischief. […] Jamie wasn’t staring into your eyes while he took you soft and lovingly. He was down and dirty doggy-style or up against a wall in a public bathroom. Hand-muffled screams and toys in his closet. He was dark desires.

What really made me fall hard for Jamie was the fact that he had been wanting Tori for years and he always said it. I don’t think he realized he was falling for her in the process, which made this even better. The fact that when he suggested the bet, he also said they wouldn’t be sleeping with anybody else before and after either of them caved, spoke volumes to me. He obviously only wanted Tori and no one else! Tori was also gone for Jamie, but she would fight it a lot. She wasn’t sure if she could trust someone who would sleep with anyone. But later on, she realized that maybe he was worth the risk. And when Jamie “hit the spot”, which Sydney calls “her soft” meaning her heart, there was no going back. And when Jamie helped Tori’s family, I was dying inside. My feels were a mess. It was something he didn’t have to do at all, but because he wanted Tori to be happy, he helped without a second thought. So not only is Jamie sex on legs, he also has a massive heart!

Jamie was ravenous. Greedy. […] Jamie wasn’t simply licking and tasting to see if he liked it. He was eating and consuming, knowing he wanted it all. Hard, hungry lips and a tongue that felt like fire. He was rough. He was unforgettable.

I loved that Sydney and Brian were a lot in this novel so we got to see more of them as a couple and the friendships of the foursome. Sydney was such a matchmaker! She would get so excited over Jamie and Tori because she knew they would end up together. All her plans to have them over for Sunday dinner started paying off and then the ending! Gahhh! My heart! I did think that Tori’s mini explosion was a little dramatic. If she really knew Jamie, she’d know why he said what he said. I was very happy that she was the one to go after Jamie for a change once she realized her mistake.

“Never loved you more than I do right fuckin’ now,” I shared. “And that’s saying a lot, ’cause ten minutes ago I was crazy about you.”

Overall, Hit the Spot was a total hit for me! I loved Jamie and Tori so much! Their relationship was so hot and so full of tension and so beautiful! I fell hard for both characters and their stories. J. Daniels wrote a fantastic story that I’m never going to forget. I mean, who can forget Jamie McCade? No one!

Fate. Hate. Love. Lies.

Which four letter word will change their lives forever?

Sydney Paige was never so mortified to hear the words “wrong number” in her life. She meant to tell off the guy who broke her best friend’s heart but unleashed her anger on a perfect stranger instead. And now her world is turned upside down by the captivating man who wants to keep her on the line.

Brian Savage is living a life he’s quickly come to hate until Sydney’s wild rant has him hooked and hungry for more. Soon the sexy woman on the phone becomes the lover in his bed. But Brian has secrets, and the closer he lets Syd get, the harder it is to shield her from the devastating mistakes of his past . . .

J. Daniels proves once again why she’s one of my favorite authors!

Love was a risk. It was wild and unpredictable. You could either hold on for the ride, not knowing how it would end, or you could let go and never know the amazing you could’ve had.

After Sydney gets dumped by her husband, she flees to Dogwood Beach to stay with her best friend. When Sydney stays with Tori, she finds out that the guy Tori had been seeing broke her heart. Sydney is out looking for blood after all that anger she had for her husband. And the perfect excuse to let out all that frustration comes in the form of dialing the man Tori was dating to give him a piece of her mind. After Sydney rambles on and on turns out she dialed the wrong number and the guy on the line is actually amused by Sydney. They start texting, then calling each other, and ultimately confiding in one another.

Best two and a half weeks of my life came from a girl who was never meant to give me anything. And she was giving me everything.

I was so impressed by this novel that J. Daniels crafted of two strangers meeting accidentally through a phone call! I was especially drawn to Brian Savage and the predicament he was in. He looks forward to every text and phone call with Sydney and he wants nothing more than to be with her, but it’s not that easy. He has a job that won’t exactly make it easy to be with Sydney. I wasn’t expecting the job he had and the way. It would break my heart when he was vulnerable and after learning why it brought me to tears. Putting that aside, can we talk about the dirty mouth on this guy?! I was blushing and with eyes wide open. I kept looking forward to his dirty mouth and all his sexy talents 😉

“You’re the best mistake I’ve ever made.”

Sydney was such a firecracker and I loved that about her! There’s a reason Brian calls her Wild. The nickname fits her to a T. And when she gets together with Tori, it’s even more! Sydney and Tori felt authentic and their friendship was unbelievably tight. I loved how these two were always there for one another. If one felt like doing something crazy and, let’s be honest, not normal, the other one would encourage and do the same thing. I mean, there’s a car scene that totally explains this (and I was singing “Bust Your Windows” while reading this).

Overall, Four Letter Word surprised me in such a good way. It was everything I didn’t know I wanted and more! The wit and humor had me laughing, the romance had me swooning and melting inside, the friendships were some of the best I’ve read in a while. J. Daniels delivered a great story and I can’t wait for the rest of the series!
