“Never forget that I was your first real kiss. Never forget that you’ll be my last.
And never stop loving me between all of them.
Never stop, Charlie.
Silas races against time as more truths unravel, while others twist tighter together. And now, the stakes are higher as Silas’ control slips and others begin to point fingers. Charlie is in trouble and he must be the one to bridge the chasm between their past and their present. Because somewhere between I love yous and Never Nevers and Never Agains, a truth they can't imagine, beckons to be found.
“Where are you, Charlie?”
I am impressed. I wasn’t sure if I would like part two, due to my dislike for part one (yes, I am part of the minority that thinks that part 1 was slow and predictable and not good). This second part though was brilliant. I was so into the book I hadn’t realized I was almost done with it.
The first couple of chapters are only in Silas point of view, which I loved because we get a glimpse of how he is when Charlie isn’t around and how caring this guy really is. Even in Silas point of view, we get to learn a whole lot more of Charlie that we didn’t know. We find out why she is a bully and why she “likes” to put others down.
I realized I love Silas. I mean, he is written by Colleen Hoover so of course he is great. Silas is a really great guy that unfortunately has been dealt with a blank card…literally. He is so in love with Charlie, it’s as if it were unreal. Silas finds some journals and letters from Charlie. That’s when I realize how amazing Silas is. In one of the letters, Charlie states what Silas has done for her and why she dislikes it. And I’m here thinking, “If only I had a man who would do those things for me, who would actually put me in first place besides his family.”
You love how much I love you. Because yes. I love you way too much. More than anyone deserves to be loved.
If you are like me and you didn’t like Never Never part 1, I highly recommend you give this second part a try. It kept me intrigued until the very last page and I definitely didn’t think it was going to end how it ended, which now has me wondering what the hell is going to happen in Part 3.
