I really really liked this story.

Since this book came out, I’ve had my eyes on it. I mean with a title like that can you really blame me? No I think not. So yeah you could say this is totally a tittle buy.
I was expecting so much from this book and right from the start this book started meeting those expectations. I was captured by the story since page 1 . It’s gruesome and horrible in the way that makes you want to keep reading. The whole concept of this book is just amazing. To come up with a society where killing and gruesome murders happen as normal as breathing, is beyond me. But I can honestly say Lindsay Cummings did an amazing job at it.
I had a bit of problem with the love aspect in this story. To me it felt a bit like insta-love but I was able to overlook it as the story progressed. I didnt feel that the love aspect was overpowering the story which is really good.
I really enjoyed this story and I cant wait for the next book. I mean, Jesus Christ that cliffhanger is just painful. I NEED THE SECOND BOOK AND I NEED IT NOW!
I reccomend this book to anyone who likes this type of story and you don’t mind gruesome and constant murder.

About Lindsay Cummings

Lindsay Cummings is the 24-year-old author of THE MURDER COMPLEX series from Greenwillow Books/HarperCollins, and the MG trilogy THE BALANCE KEEPERS, from Katherine Tegen Books/HarperCollins.

Lindsay deals with chronic fatigue, can’t get enough of her two pesky German Shepherds, wolf cub, and two horses. She's still waiting on her letter from Hogwarts--it was probably just lost in the mail.

    • Thank you! And yes it did.

  • I’ve been thinking about reading this for such a long time.. I’ve read mixed reviews which makes me shy away from this book. But maybe I can go around and try reading it (or maybe check out if people would rave about the 2nd book)… Nice to now you enjoyed it πŸ™‚
