It’s time for the ninth round of the Tome Topple readathon! I didn’t participate in the round before this, but I’ve participate quite a few times in the past, and am excited to join again! I love this readathon because it encourages me to read the books I want to read, but am too intimidated by because of the size.
To those who are wondering, Tome Topple is a readathon aimed at reading books over 500 pages. The Tome Topple goodreads page says:
The whole point of this readathon is to read big books (over 500 pages). You don’t even need to read a lot of them. You don’t even need to finish one. The point is that we are all reading those big daunting books at the same time and supporting each other.
The seventh round of Tome Topple is starting soon, it runs from midnight on November 9 – 22 at 11:59 pm. There are five challenges you can participate in during the readathon:
- Read more than one tome
- Read a graphic novel
- Read a tome that is part of a series
- Buddy read a tome
- Read an adult novel
Imaginary Friend – I’m so excited about this because it’s the new Stephen Chbosky! I received this book from Grand Central, and have been putting it off because I’m so intimidated by the size, it’s 720 pages!
The Institute – Another book I’ve been putting off reading because it’s so large. I love SK and I can’t wait to read his most recent release, but again I’ve been putting it off because it’s a pretty large book. Thankfully I have the audiobook for this one, so I can switch between the physical and audio and hopefully get this done pretty quickly.
I’m only putting two books on my TBR this round because I’m trying to be reasonable, and know that I haven’t been able to read as much this semester since school is so busy. Luckily classes will be winding down soon, and I’m hoping that means I’ll have more time to read these massive books!
