GEN’S LIFE HAPPENINGS

  • I’ve had such a wonderful week! Like I mentioned on Twitter, I can’t ever say why, but just know that this girl is beyond happy 😀 (No, I’m not engaged like Amanda had said LOL). But this past week has been unbelievable and I’m just happy 🙂
  • I escaped to the beach with someone this week. Well, various beaches to be honest and almost forgot to take a picture until my best friend messaged me wanting to know if I was alive LOL So here’s a picture 🙂

GEN’S HAUL

for review

As you guys know, Little Bird Publicity always sends me their books. This week, I got this lovely package with a keychain that I immediately attached to my house key. It’s very fitting.

GEN’S WEEK IN READING

This was a DNF. Couldn’t deal with all the boredom and confusion.

I’m so glad you liked A Court of Thorns and Roses! I look forward to reading this series.

  • Way to make me seriously curious, Gen 😉 :p And what do you mean, you can’t EVER share?

I hope you’re enjoying Accidentally on Purpose, I really had fun with that one 🙂

have a wonderful weekend and happy reading.

    • I know I know 🙈 But I really can’t share. Just wanted to let you all know I’m very happy 🙂
I am liking it a lot!
      Thank you!

  • That beach looks amazing! ♥ And yay for loving ACOTAR! ACOMAF was even better in my opinion. 😀

  • Yay for being happy 🙂 That beach looks so good. I liked Pretty Little World. I have to get to Accidentally on Purpose soon. Hope you enjoy both! Have a great week!

  • Loving that beach pic! I wish I was at the beach right now. That’s my happy place. lol! Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy Roseblood. I was really excited about that one, so that’s a bummer. I was thinking about getting it but I haven’t heard too many positive reviews so I will probably skip it. I have ACOTAR but I haven’t started it yet. I’m trying to finish The Lunar Chronicles series first. So many good series’ too little time. lol

  • Amber Hodges

want to read ACOTAR soooo bad! Hope to be buying them the next couple weeks and devour them!!

Now you make me wanna go to the beach! Might have to do that later today and enjoy a good book 🙂

  • Great post! And so lovely pictures on Instagram! *.*

I read ACOTAR last year, but it took me about 3 months to finish it (okay, I read it during Uni which probably wasn’t the best idea), but I didn’t enjoy it all too much, although the story’s great. Hope the sequel will be more my cup of tea 🙂

Awesome haul of books. I hope you love ACOTAR, it was really good. I see that you had a relaxing time at the beach. I wish it was warm by where I live. Its freezing.

  • Not engaged… moving in with the bf?? Pregnant maybe??? 😀 (Don’t answer, I’m not trying to pry!!!) We both seemed to have great weeks in terms of life which is AWESOME. I can’t remember having such a great week. It’s been a while!

I’m sorry you had to DNF RoseBlood! I loved the book, once I got past the initial 50-100 pages or so. It was beyond boring before Rune and Thorn met.

Have a lovely weekend, Genesis! =)

Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!

  • I hope your coming week is as good as the one just past! 🙂 I am being put off Roseblood by some of the reviews. A shame you had to DNF. Have a great weekend!

  • The Book Disciple

Yay for the beach!! It looks great! Its been so rainy and dreary here, but actually I kind of like that. So glad you had such an amazing week!

  • The beach looks lovely! You know how I feel about RoseBlood, so… I totally get you on that one. I’m so glad you’re happy and that you had such a wonderful week! <3

    • I thank your review for leading me to DNF. I was looking for a reason to stop reading because it wasn’t getting any better. Then I read your review and was like, “That’s it. I’m done.”
      Thanks hun!

  • The beach escape sounds lovely and I’m glad you’re happy… it’s nice to see someone so joyous!

  • Megan McDade

That beach looks beautiful!! I need to read ACOTAR so bad!!! Hopefully this year. Have a great week.

  • Oooh, glad to hear you had a great week! I’d love to escape to a beach or two, especially now with school starting up again last week. I’m so sad you DNFed Roseblood, as I’m really looking forward to that one, but not every book is for every person. Hopefully when I end up reading it, I like it a bit more than you did. I hope you have another great week!!

    My Sunday Post!

  • I hear ya on the happiness. Sometimes, you are just HAPPY and there doesn’t HAVE to be a reason, ya know? Anyway. lol

I hear so many good things about ACOTAR, not sure I will ever read it though.

    • Oh there’s a reason hahaha
Aww why do you think you won’t ever read it? TBH, I thought the same and look at me now. Reading it and loving it!

  • Happy to hear you are so happy, and had a lovely week. I hope this week is just as wonderful. Sorry to hear about Roseblood, though. I had such expectations for it 🙁

  • Charlie Anderson

Oh, the beach. I hope you had a great time. Also glad you didn’t get killed. 🙂

  • Glad you’ve been so happy this week. That’s great. Enjoy it! And eat up that beach time. I’m totally jealous. I hate to hear that you didn’t enjoy RoseBlood. I was looking forward to that one!

  • So happy you had a wonderful week, Gen! I would love to live close to the beach. It would be my dream place.
I really like the ACOTAR series, too. 🙂

  • I’m glad you’re feeling so happy! That’s always a good thing 😉
To bad Roseblood was a DNF.. It sounded like a good one and the cover is beautiful.
Have a great week & happy reading.

  • Such a great post! I love that you are so happy and you got to spend time at the beach! I love the beach!! I haven’t started Roseblood yet, but do have it on my TBR. Have a great week!

  • Good to hear you’re so happy Gen! <3 Sad you DNF'ed Roseblood though.

  • Glad you’re living it up over there in PR, Gen. It’s great to see you so happy too. Were you not with your boyfriend? I just picked up Accidentally on Purpose so I’m hoping it’s as great as I think it will be. 🙂

    Have a great week!
