WEEKLY LATTE REWIND ~ 10.28.17 | BUSY, BUSY, BUSY

October 28, 2017 | Posted by Victoria in Weekly Latte Rewind | 28 Comments

Weekly Latte Rewind is a weekly feature where we will recap posts, books read, books we received and other bookish stuff. We’ve linked to Stacking the Shelves hosted by  Tynga’s Reviews and The Sunday Post hosted by  Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

VICTORIA’S LIFE HAPPENINGS

  • I didn’t post a rewind last week because I wanted to talk about the books I read for the readathons I participated in, in a wrap up post.
  • Last weekend my boyfriend and I drove nine hours (it was so boring) home, to go to one of my high school friend’s wedding.
  • My boyfriend and I went to a pie bar last week (three times…no shame), and oh my god, it was SO GOOD. The first time we went we couldn’t decide on which pie to get, so naturally we got a pie flight to try them all.
  • This weekend, my best friend from undergrad drove five hours to hang out with me! It’s so nice to hang out with old friends.

VICTORIA’S HAUL

for review

I got an arc of The Fortunate Ones which is super exciting because I love R.S. Grey’s books! I’ll have a review up for this next week!

bought

I got an email from Barnes and Noble saying I had store credit, so obviously I went and bought some books. I read a Tessa Dare book last week and really enjoyed it, so I picked up another one. I’ve heard so many good things about K.A. Tucker, and Until It Fades specifically, so I bought a copy and I can’t wait to get to it!

VICTORIA’S WEEK IN READING

I read R.S. Grey’s book as soon as I got it, it’s not my favorite books of her but I still enjoyed it! I read Any Duchess Will Do, and I really really liked it, I can’t wait to read more Tessa Dare. Autoboyography was a reread. I listened to the audiobook last week, and loved it so much, so I picked up a physical copy so I could reread it and highlight and mark up all my favorite parts.

VICTORIA’S CURRENTLY READING

It is taking me FOREVER to read. I’m listening to the audiobook, which is enjoyable, but it’s so long and dense. Hopefully I can finish this beast soon.

  1. Just Another Girl and her Book

This reminds me that I need to re-read It, when I have time. Hope you have a great weekend. – Katie

  2. It sounds like you had a busy week! Long drives are the worst, anything over an hour makes me twitchy (which is unfortunate, given everything is forever away where I live lol)

I hope you enjoy your new books, and have a great week ahead 🙂

  3. Totally just pre-ordered The Fortunate Ones. I like Grey. Her books always seem to work for me. Ok, pie bar. That sounds amazing, and it looks fantastic in that picture too. How good was Autoboyography? Getting feels just thinking about it.

What a great week! That pie bar sounds amazing. I want a pie bar in our town! No shame in going three times. No shame!

  5. A Pie Flight? That sounds FANTASTIC! Looking forward to your review on the new R.S. Grey – I was thinking of grabbing it to take on vacation, but might hold if it’s just “okay.” Dissapointing vacation reads are the worst!

I adore pie! Any kind. The pie flight sounds yummy. I always wanted to open a pie shop but I don’t really like to bake. LOL I do like to eat though:) How awesome to be told you have credit. I’d immediately go to my wish list and click away. Hope you enjoy your new books.
