Weekly Latte Rewind is a weekly feature where we will recap posts, books read, books we received and other bookish stuff. We’ve linked to Stacking the Shelves hosted by  Tynga’s Reviews and The Sunday Post hosted by  Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

The reason I’ve been absent this week and not being active visiting your blogs it’s because it was finals week so I put all my focus on school. I didn’t even finish a book! I probably only read 70 pages and that was it. On Tuesday, I turn in my final research paper and then I’m done until January 18! More than a month of winter break *throws confetti*

On the very bright side, my best friend Isabel and I went to a mall that’s approx. an hour and a half from my house because it has Starbucks 😀 The sole purpose of going to the mall was to get a travel mug from Starbucks, which they sell for $1.25. So yes, we drove that far for $1.25. And my friend ended up buying it for me as a gift 🙂 And I ordered a Hazelnut Praline Latte for the first time and OH MY GOODNESS! IT’S SO FREAKING DELICIOUS!!

But we took advantage of the trip and went to Bath & Body Works where I got my mom’s Christmas gift and I bought for myself two fragrance mists and a shower gel. We also went to Victoria’s Secret and Forever 21! I bought a short dress and a shirt. I swear, I’m not buying anything else for a while because I spent around $80 that day.

Atria Books sent a copy of Girl Online On Tour and I didn’t even know! It was such a surprise seeing it because I hadn’t requested it. This makes it the second book I get that I haven’t solicited and it feels so good, I could cry.

  1. YAY for school being almost over, Gen! I have next week left, but still have some papers I have to write and hand in for the beginning of January. No class means days spent in pajamas, though 😉
Did you enjoy Hanover House? I loved that story, and I can’t wait to see what else will happen in the series.
Have a wonderful weekend and happy reading.

    • That scent is like heaven. I love the shower gel a lot. I never really need the mist but still use it. Six of Crows is getting so good!
      Thank you 🙂

  2. YAY for school almost being done! Having a break will be great, I am sure! I also think I may have been *too* excited about your trip to the mall! I’m now needing a cheap travel cup and some B&BW stuff, STAT. I will be very curious as to your thoughts on Six of Crows! And YAY for the unsolicited book- that is a pretty fabulous unsolicited one too! I also must know your feelings about Made For You, because ummm long story but I traded it (no- was robbed of it by Jessica) for an ARC I really wanted (and never got, because Jessica) but if it’s worth it, I will definitely re-buy it (and curse Jessica). Hope you have a great week, and TONS of relaxation after Tuesday!! 😀

    • Ugh I know! I only have the investigation for tomorrow and I’ll be done!
Hahaha go to the mall! You deserve it after barely taking a break in November.
So far, I’m liking Six of Crows a lot!
I’m listening to Made For You right now! I’m almost done with it and wow! It’s so good. And creepy.. But good! The audio makes it even more thrilling. Oh Jessica…. At least, we know now, right?
I welcome the relaxation with very open arms!

    • I know 🙁 I live in Puerto Rico. In the East side of the Island, tons of Starbucks everywhere. Literally. In one street, there can be 3. But the West side (where I live), there’s none 🙁

  3. Ughhhh finals week. I finish my finals tomorrow, and then I’m off school until the 11th, so not as long as you. Jealous!! I’m also jealous of your shopping trip. It has been too long since I’ve been able to shop (because I’m broke but I’m also a shopaholic). I hope you like all the books you’re reading (especially Six of Crows, which I’ve heard a ton of great things about), and I hope you enjoy your new haul. Happy reading!

    • I finally finished!
I only shopped because I received some money and I decided not to spend it on books since I need clothes!
I’m really enjoying Six of Crows a lot!

    • Haha I know. Kinda crazy lol If you go, try the Mocha Cookie Crumble in frappe or the Hazelnut Praline Latte as a hot beverage (in some starbucks it’s called the Chestnut Praline Latte).
