GEN’S LIFE HAPPENINGS

  • I’ve gotten pretty close with the girl in the picture and we have gone out a lot! This wee, we went to Wal-Mart together and she made me do cartwheels in the store (nobody kicked us out, thank goodness). Then we went out to drink coffee and get henna tattoos! The night we did that, she had a major sugar rush and… Let’s just say she acted like she was drunk and afterward, didn’t remember much. Thankfully, I recorded everything LOL I was just laughing at everything she was doing. We had a major blast!
  • On Thursday, I went out with a group of friends to sing karaoke and I got a cone pizza with strawberry lemonade!

  • My best friend and I went to get henna tattoos as well at “5 Días Con Nuestra Tierra“, which is a yearly festival celebrated in my town to help promote agriculture, but it’s actually a fun place to be (it’s where my friends did karaoke on stage like I mentioned above). Anyway, we also went to a restaurant for lunch and then get iced coffees.
  • My boyfriend and I also went the same day and he got me a sunflower and the woodwork with the coffee design!! Oh, and the lemonade was delicious!

GEN’S CURRENTLY READING

I had to put Appealed on hold so I could read the Checkmate Duet series and will probably stay on hold until I read This Is Reckless.

  • Love the henna tattoos and that woodwork with the coffee design. Kennedy Fox is someone I have seen around and need to read still. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!!

  • Those henna tattoos are so lovely! And I also love the woodwork. 😀 ♥

  • I love you henna tattoos! So pretty! I hope you love the Lauren Layne book. I’ve really enjoyed a lot of her books. She’s one of my favorites! Hope you have a great week!

  • OMG, sugar rush being like drunkenness, that is so funny. Glad you got it on camera. ;D YAY for getting the new Layne book! I still haven’t read any of her books but I love your enthusiasm. What’s your absolute FAVORITE Layne book?

    • Oh you have no idea! I have all the evidence haha Okay seriously Alyssa, you need to get on the LL train ASAP. I have three faves! Blurred Lines is the first in a standalone series and it’s a great NA! For Better Or Worse is the second book in a series but ahhhh so freaking amazing!! And lastly… The one that has my heart is Someone Like You <3 I think that's my favorite.

      KF is an amazing duo!!

  • Appealed is my favorite in that Emma Chase series. I am a HUGE Emma Chase fan girl. Like, would probably pass out cold if I ever actually met her.
Beautiful henna! You and your BF are super cute!

  • Beautiful Henna tattoos! Those are always fun to get. I just purchased Something in The Way as well. I can’t wait to read your review, Gen. 🙂

  • Charlie Anderson

Cute tattoos! I haven’t ever had sugar rush that bad, but sometimes when it gets too late and I should have gone to bed hours before I get giggly and silly like I’m drunk (which I’ve only ever been once and it just makes me incredibly sleepy). Your woodwork is beautiful! Happy reading!

  • Glad to hear you had a great week, Gen. 😀
OMG, you HAVE TO read The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata. It is amazing and the author’s writing is WoW.. love her. I recommend you read her Wait For Me too. It is my 5 star book. Beyond amazing. Trust me. But start with The Wall of Winnipeg and Me. You’ll love it. 😀
Happy reading and have a great week.

  • Looks like you had a great week, Gen. Hahaha – gotta love those sugar rushes!

  • oh I love all the pictures you shared!!! Henna is such fun, I have a friend back home that was obsessed with it, but then she had romany heritage so we had some fun parties doing Henna. And I love Emma Chase. Sustained is such an adorable romance. The hero is yummy.

  • You’re just having so much fun! I love henna tattoos – all the fun and look of a tattoo, without the lifelong commitment 😉
