GEN’S LIFE HAPPENINGS

  • I went to see THE PURGE alone! I don’t know why I do that to myself but it was a good movie. I may have jumped a bunch of times and got scared but I made it!
  • My best friend and I went to a coffee shop that I’m just loving even more every time I go and ordered red velvet waffles! They were freaking fantastic! So tasty *heart eyes*

  • I also went to see Independence Day and it was a great movie. I really enjoyed it from beginning to end.
  • I went to a job interview and sadly, I didn’t get it but they are very excited with me so who knows what happens 🙂 I have another job interview this coming week and I’m nervous but I hope to do a good job.

I got my JORD Wood Watch! I seriously love love love it! I’ve been obsessed with JORD for months now so getting this amazing watch has me all kinds of happy! Even the barista at the coffee shop noticed the watch and immediately complemented it. I’m telling you, it’s a total eye-catcher. Click here or on the picture so you can see all the other gorgeous watches <3 I need to buy the Sidney Maple & Rose Gold watch because IT’S THE MOST GORGEOUS THING IN THE WORLD!

GEN’S HAUL

For Review

instagram pic188 the replacement crush unnamed (3) the best possible answer

I got Never Missing, Never Found for review which I already started and I’m so intrigued by it! I love cute contemporaries and The Replacement Crush sounds so cute and fun! I really love the cover for Only Fools Jump and the description sounds interesting. The Best Possible Answer sounds really good! I love novels that shows a character’s growth and this sounds like it will do just that.

Audios for Review

this savage song audio cover smut audio cover

I’ve been trying to read This Savage Song and for some reason I can’t get into it. So I requested the audio and I hope I can get into it better this way. I’ve never read anything by Karina Halle but I couldn’t pass up Smut‘s audio! It sounds amazing!

Bought | Books for Trade | Free from Library | Won

Undecided (1) IMG_5346 IMG_5400 IMG_5402

Undecided was on sale and even though I already had read the eARC, I went ahead and bought the ebook with the new cover and re-read it! I got The Girl from Everywhere through books for trade! I went to the library and River’s Edge was on a shelf of free books you can just take home. I remember loving every book by this author and loving this book so of course I took it with me! Lastly, I won Firsts and I love everything that it came with, especially the lip balm!

GEN’S WEEK IN READING

genesis girl Undecided (1) p.s. i like you Print to have and to hold

Genesis Girl was a unique read. I was so captivated by everything but sometimes the MC would get on my nerves. I buddy-read/re-read Undecided and it was still amazing the second time around. I LOVED P.S. I Like You! It’s a 2016 favorite! Only Fools Jump was okay. I expected more from it. I buddy-read To Have and To Hold with Lacey from Booklovers For Life and it was great! The story was great and buddy-reading with her was fantastic. We already have a couple of scheduled buddy-reads that I can wait to start <3

GEN’S CURRENTLY READING

never missing never found smash & grab

I just started both of these books so the verdict is still out for both.

  1. You went to see a scary movie alone??? OMG, I won’t even watch scary movies at home with the lights on. I really want to read Undecided again, it was so good. I’m reading the Lauren Layne book right now 🙂

    • Haha it wasn’t all that scary. It’s more bloody than anything. It’s mostly the suspense and the noises out of nowhere that scare me. You should read Undecided again for sure! I hope you like LL’s book. I really liked it and swooned like crazy.

  2. I’m sorry to hear the interview didn’t go well, but hopefully this upcoming one goes smoothly!
Why would you go watch a scary movie on your own??? You are nuts! 😀
I was so tempted to request that cute book with the hearts on the cover, but ahh I didn’t like her writing in her debut, so I’m going to wait to see what others think first.
    Enjoy your reads this week!

    • We’ll see 🙂
Hahaha not nuts! It’s not scary, really. It’s just murdering people and lots of blood. It’s the noises out of nowhere that make me jump lol
I haven’t read anything else by this author (I think) so that’s why I requested it.

  3. Those waffles look so amazing that I’m putting on weight just thinking about them! I’m looking forward to the new independence day film but will need to wait until it is released on dvd. Good luck with the next job interview and have a great week!

  4. Awesome haul. Lots of great books in there that I haven’t heard of that will now be on my lists. Enjoy your reading and I can’t wait to see the reviews!

    • Thank you! And I’m in love! I collaborated with JORD. I’ve been wanting to buy myself a watch from them but they are expensive and I don’t work right now :/ When I work, I’m planning on buying two more that I love.

Okay, those waffles look delicious. When I come to visit we must go there so I can get those in my belly!!! I couldn’t get into This Savage Song so if you like it better on audio, let me know!! I love Karina’s books and have Smut on my kindle, I just haven’t gotten to it yet…story of my life.

Also, your watch is beautiful!! I love the wood and how it looks. So pretty!!

That watch is so pretty! I’m definitely going to have to check out their website later tomorrow. My copy of This Savage Song arrived in the mail the other day and I can’t wait to start on it! It’s the UK edition and the cover is all sorts of pretty!! And eeeeppp! Undecided still has my heart in little flutters. Hopefully I’ll have my review up for that one soon! Lovely post as always girl and I’m crossing my fingers for your upcoming job interview!! <3

  7. Your books look wonderful. How did you request the audiobooks? Are they from a site like NetGalley or directly from the publisher? I love listening to audiobooks, so I am very interested. Have a great week.

I’m busy averting my eyes from the waffles… trying to be good here! Glad you enjoyed them though. I haven’t yet seen Independance Day and we’re hoping to make time sometime soon – but Himself works shifts so it isn’t always easy. I’ve heard lots of good things about Savage Song, so I’m interested that you found it tricky to get into – hope you enjoy the audible version. I like the look of Genesis Girl – are you reviewing it? This is my Sunday Post – https://sjhigbee.wordpress.com/2016/07/24/sunday-post-24th-july/

Pretty watch and drooling over that food. LOL I hope your next interview does the trick and you get the job! Lots of great books this week and I love how you showcased them:)

    My Sunday Post

  10. I love that watch! So pretty! Red Velvet waffles sound amazing. There was a place that had them here but I didn’t realize they were a seasonal dish and didn’t order them when I saw them. I regret that now! I guess I’ll have find a recipe. Good luck on the interviews and have a great week!

  11. Those waffles look so good! And so does that watch! Very nice. 🙂 Sorry that the job interview didn’t work out, but hopefully you’ll do well at your next interview. Looks like you got some good books, so I hope that you enjoy them! 🙂

  12. I got Smut in audio as well, Gen! I hope we’ll both enjoy it 🙂 I’m actually listening another Halle book right now 🙂
Good luck with your job interview! I’m sure you’ll do well. Think about it as a presentation – the subject is you, and how good you would be and what positive aspects you’d bring to the company.
Have a wonderful week and happy reading.
