Weekly Latte Rewind is a weekly feature where we will recap posts, books read, books we received and other bookish stuff. We’ve linked to Stacking the Shelves hosted by  Tynga’s Reviews and The Sunday Post hosted by  Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

  • Just want to apologize for not posting consistently, I’ve been in the process of packing for my move, and helping my sister pack for school. Once I get situated and on schedule, I’ll start posting more consistently!
  • At the beginning of the week my boyfriend drove down to hang out with me. Those few days were super relaxing, we hung out, read, and watched Netflix. We also went to the movies to see Annabelle: Creation. I don’t get scared easily, but the movie was good!
  • My baby sister is starting college! We drove up to her school, and are dropping her off and helping her unpack this weekend, it’s such a bittersweet experience.

for review

These are my first arcs! I’m so excited to have gotten them, I read I Hate Everyone But You recently, and I have a review for it coming up soon

I have a problem when it comes to buying books, I can’t stop myself when I walk into a bookstore! Most of these came from a used bookstore, so it’s easier to convince myself it’s okay I keep buying them.

I FINALLY finished Lord of Shadows! It’s taken me since June to finish this tome. Eliza and Her Monsters was an amazing book, I loved it and definitely recommend it. My review for London Belongs to Me went up this week, so go check that out!

I also have a hard time avoiding purchases in bookstores, and recall how Borders (before it died!) was my go-to spot for adding to my shelves.

    I don’t do a lot better on Amazon…LOL.

You have some lovely books…I am staring at the cover of The Crown’s Game. Enjoy!

    Here are

    • Yass, it’s so hard NOT to buy books from Amazon! Seeing how much I would save if I bought from Amazon versus somewhere else really helps convince me to get the book lol.

  2. I really need to check out Eliza and Her Monsters. I’ve heard such great things about it so far. I own The Upside of Unrequited and Stalking Jack the Ripper but haven’t gotten to read either of them yet. I’m so behind with reading books I already own. lol! Hope you have a great week, and happy reading!

    • Eliza and Her Monsters is one of my favorite reads this year, you should definitely check it out! I know what you mean, my physical tbr is getting tall because I buy way faster than I read lol

Awesome haul. I just finished reading Stalking Jack the Ripper and thought it was excellent.

  4. Ahhh, Upside is one of my favorites of the year! So is Lord of Shadows– I’m glad you loved that one, too (it also took me FOREVER to read). I just read Stalking Jack the Ripper this week, and it was great! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on I Hate Everyone But You and Eliza & Her Monsters. Have a great week, Victoria!

    • Excellent, I’ve heard so many great things about both of those and am excited to get to them! Lord of Shadows was so good, but too dense for me to read consistently 😁. Thanks!

I feel like life is super busy these days, so you don’t have to apologize for posting whenever you can find the time. I have an autographed copy of Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices, #1), but I am holding off on starting it until Cassandra Clare completes the series. Plus, I read her Mortal Instruments series via audiobook, and I’m weirdly unable to switch formats usually. I also do very little e-book or paperback reading these days, but I still hoard by adding to my digital and audiobook collection way more often than I should. We book hoarders understand your inability to walk out of a bookstore without a new purchase for your collection. #bookhoarders4life

    • Thanks! I was also planning on waiting until Cassandra Clare finished the series…but then I gave in and read them lol. It’s so hard to stop buying books no matter what the format is! I’m glad the book community understands the struggle, because my friends and family always laugh when they see me come back from the store with a new book.

London Belongs To Me has an amazing cover, love that one. And Eliza and her Monsters is supposed to be quite good from what I’ve seen of reviews.

Hope you have a great reading week!

  7. Congrats on your first arcs! That’s a sweet feeling. The Crown’s Game looks really good, hope you are enjoying it. And I also like the look of London Belongs To Me.

I won a copy of London Belongs to me a while back and haven’t got around to it so will have to check out your review to see if I need to push it up my every growing TBR. I really want to read i hate everyone but you it sounds really good and I have heard nothing but good things about Eliza and her monsters. Have a good week.

  9. Hey, congrats about the ARCs! They look great. And that pic with all the food. How can one person eat all that? 😀 I’m impressed. My normal portion is a quarter of that, and maybe less for breakfast. Not much of an eater I guess 😀

  10. Congrats on the ARCs!! I’ve been seeing ‘I Hate Everyone But You’ around a lot! I hope you enjoy The Crown’s Game! It took me forever to finally give in and read it because I hated the cover (I know, I shouldn’t judge) but I ended up loving it! 🙂 Have a great week!

  11. I’ve been awful about posting too, but I’ve just stopped apologizing because life happens! Take care of what’s important and we’ll be here when you get back! 😉 Great haul this week! I hope you love all of your books!

    Here’s my Weekly Recap!

I enjoyed college. I hope your sister does, too! Good luck with the move. I HATE packing. It is the bane of my existence. It induces panic. So, good luck! The Man wants to see Annabelle. Me…not so much. 🙂

  13. Buying books is the best therapy, right? Now that your sister is off at college, you’ve got to replace her with… something. 😉 I’ve got Stalking Jack the Ripper and Hunting Prince Dracula on my review queue. I can’t wait to read them – I’ve heard such good things about the first book. I hope you enjoy your new books!

Have a fabulous week, Victoria. =)

  14. That breakfast looks sooo amazing… and so filling. LOL I loved The Upside of Unrequited. Molly was relatable. And I almost picked up Eliza and Her Monsters recently but decided to get it from the library instead. The Crown’s Game was a lot of fun and that ending! I have the second book and need to start it soon! Hope you have a great week, Victoria!

    • Thanks! I’ve heard so many great things about The Upside of Unrequited, I’m excited to get to it! Eliza and Her Monsters is such a great book, definitely one of my favorite books of the year.
