Weekly Latte Rewind is a weekly feature where we will recap posts, books read, books we received and other bookish stuff. We’ve linked to Stacking the Shelves hosted by  Tynga’s Reviews and The Sunday Post hosted by  Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

  • I dropped my sister off at college! I’m so excited for her, but I can’t believe that she’s not a baby anymore. Unpacking her was miserable, she had so much stuff and we had to carry it all in the Texas heat.
  • I drove NINE hours to get to school. The drive was so long and drove by myself. For three hours there was nothing around me except trees and grass, I had an irrational fear that my car was going to stop working and I would get stuck. But, I made it! And I’m so excited to start school next week!
  • New Graduate Student Orientation was this week! My boyfriend and I are both starting grad school, so I had someone to suffer through New Student Orientation with. We got these free tshirts, which are pretty funny.
  • It’s been super rainy here the last couple of days, which has been nice. I love reading while it’s raining outside, it’s so relaxing.

for review

I received these arcs this week. I’ll have a review up for Boomerang Boyfriend soon.

I didn’t buy any books this week!

It’s been such a hectic week, I haven’t read as much as I typically do.

Congrats on Grad School. I attended at night while working days, but it was still a wonderful experience…but it was a long time ago, which sometimes seems impossible. LOL.

Enjoy your reading. Stalking Jack the Ripper looks tempting. Thanks for sharing, and here are

    • Thank you! Stalking Jack the Ripper is so good, I’m almost done with it now!

  • Grace Fonseca

  • Congrats on grad school! That’s so exciting! Oh man, a 9 hour drive all by yourself sounds really miserable. I would be so worried I would fall asleep or something. I own Stalking Jack the Ripper but I haven’t gotten a chance to pick it up yet. I hope you enjoy that one! Happy reading!

    • Thank you! Yeah the drive wasn’t fun at all, I drank a lot of coffee and stayed on the phone with friends for most of the drive. I’m reading Stalking Jack the Ripper right now, and it’s great!

  • Yay for starting grad school! What are you studying? Man, that nine-hour drive sounds brutal. I’m glad you made it! I also love love love reading in rainy weather. I listened to Stalking Jack on audio last week, and I really enjoyed it! I hope you like it, too. Have a fantastic week, Victoria! <3

    • Thanks, I’m studying mental health counseling! Yeah it was not a fun drive at all.

  • Charlie Anderson

Moving into college in a Texas August is miserable. I am glad I am the oldest – I had three built in helpers that had to help! 🙂 I remember having a lot of stuff too – a lot of stuff I didn’t really need. That’s a LONG drive! I’d get a little worried about my car, too, especially being alone. Good luck with school!

    • I have two younger sisters, but we’re all in school now with different schedules so it’s harder to force them to help now lol. Thanks!

  • The Crown’s Game sounds so good – can’t wait to hear what you think! Best of luck with Grad School – I laughed when I saw your shirt! I remember thinking the same thing when I started, but loved every minute of it 🙂

    • Thank you! It’s a good book, I’m enjoying it so far. That’s awesome, what are you going/did you go to grad school for?

  • Hey Victoria! Sounds like a really busy week for you. I’m glad to hear that you made it safely and that you had your boyfriend with you to suffer through orientation.

I’ve got Boomerang Boyfriend on my wish list so I’m looking forward to reading your review.

I hope you have an amazing week and that you get to read all of the books this week. 🙂

    • Thanks! It has been a pretty busy week, but also so exciting! Hope you have a good week as well

  • Congratulations on starting grad school!! What are you going for? That’s super exciting and I know you’re probably looking forward to being done with school for good here soon haha. Not sure where your sister is going to school and where your family is located but I hope they haven’t been affected by the hurricane too much. It’s crazy how bad Harvey has been. I don’t think I’ve introduced myself to you personally, but I’m Christine and I blog over at The Bookish Daydreamer! I’ve been following Genesis’ posts for a couple months. It’s nice to meet you and I look forward to seeing your posts! (:

    • Thank you! I’m studying mental health counseling to become an LPC. Thank you, my family has been pretty lucky in regards to the hurricane, we’ve had very little flooding in our house. Nice to meet you, I’ll check out your blog!
