Weekly Latte Rewind is a weekly feature where we will recap posts, books read, books we received and other bookish stuff. We’ve linked to Stacking the Shelves hosted by  Tynga’s Reviews and The Sunday Post hosted by  Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

  • My parents drove up this weekend with my furniture from home, that means I have ALL my books with me again. Although I’m glad I have my books here, I am not looking forwards to arranging them on my shelves. And I finally have furniture in my apartment!
  • I’m so excited for Fall! It’s my favorite season. I can’t wait for it to be cool enough to wear scarves and drink pumpkin spice lattes (I’m basic, no shame). I’ve already started getting ready for Halloween too, my Halloween socks and t-shirts are at the front of my closet ready for me to wear!
  • I didn’t read much this week, but I’ve been binge watching like crazy! I started The Bold Type, Grace and Frankie, and The Great British Baking Show. I’m halfway through The Bold Type, a little ways through season two of Grace and Frankie, and almost done with the first season of TGBBS.

Back in the Game and Hunting Prince Dracula are my first two physical arcs! I’m super excited about HPD because I LOVED Stalking Jack the Ripper. Look out for my review of Hunting Prince Dracula on my stop for the blog tour! I also got an earc of Chasing Christmas Eve, which I’m super excited about because it’s Christmas themed, and set in San Francisco!

I’ve wanted to read Joan Didion for a while and already own one of her books. After watching a trailer for her biography that’s going to be on Netflix next month, I decided to order another book and read them both before watching.

I didn’t get much reading done this week because of Netflix and school, but I did finish and enjoy this book. Look out for my review next month!

I’m so excited I got a copy of this! Since I read Stalking Jack the Ripper a couple of weeks ago, I didn’t have to wait long to start this one. As of right now I’m almost halfway through this, and am LOVING IT.

I haven’t been reading very much either, but I have been watching a lot of television! I finished off the seventh season of game of thrones and teen wolf. Unfortunately, I’ve now dropped into a severe reading slump and can’t seem to finish a single book. I hope that you enjoy Hunting Prince Dracula!

    • Oooh Teen Wolf, I used to watch that but hated having to wait each week for a new episode. I’ll have to binge watch it soon lol. Oh no, I hope you get out of your slump soon, that’s no fun 🙁

  2. Yay for having all your books and furniture in your apartment! I’m also SO excited for fall and Halloween. And ah, The Great British Baking Show is my go-to comfort watch!! I’ve heard nothing but fantastic things about The Bold Type. I adored Hunting Prince Dracula, and I hope you love it, too!

I can’t wait to get Hunting Prince Dracula when it comes out this week. I never read the other but hope to get to it this winter. Seems review books always get in the way.

    • It’s so good, let me know what you think when you get to it! Yes, and I feel like the more books I have to review, the more I want to reread stuff I already have on my shelf! lol

I am glad you have all of your things for your apartment now! If we lived closer and knew each other better, I’d volunteer to help you organize your books (only because I love doing stuff like that). But maybe I should focus on working on mine . . . Fall is my favorite season too. Usually the summer weather hangs through mid-October where I live, but it’s actually cool and fall like right now. It’s so nice!

Hunting Prince Dracula sounds really good! And I love Jill Shalvis’s books. I need to read more of hers.

I hope you have a great week!

    • Omg, I wish you could lol, I like organizing my shelves but it’s so time consuming! And I always end up taking breaks and rereading parts of books that I love lol. This is my first Jill Shalvis book, and I’m excited to start it! Thanks, hope you have a great week as well.

  5. The Bold Type is my favorite new show of this season. Love the friendship and how women’s issues are spotlighted. I am reading the Shalvis book this week. I love her! Enjoy having furniture and arranging all your books. And no shame – the fall is all about pumpkin spice everything

Fall is an awesome time of year, and pumpkin spice lattes make it even better! Hope the new reads are good. I heard a lot of good things about Stalking Jack the Ripper.

    • I usually don’t mind rearranging, but it’s so time consuming that I just keep putting it off. I would LOVE for you to arrange them for me lol. It’s such a good series, I finished the first one a couple of weeks ago, and am devoting this second one now!

I love The Bold Type, and Grace and Frankie is a show I could watch over and over. Love Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.

Congrats on your book shelves…having your books with you is half the battle.

I am off to check on that Joan Didion book. Thanks for sharing, and here are

  8. TGBBS is such a comfort show for me. I’ve seen all the seasons and love them, but it’s one of those shows that I’ll put on if I’m having a down day. And The Bold Type is so good. I just watched the finale a few days ago. I wasn’t expecting much from it, but it was such a surprise! I still need to pick up Stalking Jack the Ripper, too. It may be one I try and pick up this fall because it seems like it’d be a good fall book.

  9. Congratulations on your move-in and finally having your books with you, and best of luck in school this fall! You’re way ahead of me in getting ready for Halloween. It’s still around 80 here, so it’s hard for me to remember that fall is coming — but I did see a few leaves turning on one of the trees today.

Have a lovely week, and enjoy your new books!

    • Thank you! It’s been in the 90s around here, but I’m hoping that if I keep acting like it’s Fall already it’ll get cooler lol. Hope you have a great week as well!

Isn’t it nice to finally be fully settling in? I remember it taking days when I moved into the bungalow house to get everything set up where it should be. I haven’t even thought about Halloween – it’s just a time that my kids are crazy all week! haha Good luck with school this fall.
