Weekly Latte Rewind is a weekly feature where we will recap posts, books read, books we received and other bookish stuff. We’ve linked to Stacking the Shelves hosted by  Tynga’s Reviews and The Sunday Post hosted by  Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

  • Last weekend, I stayed at my boyfriend’s house and had a huge blast with his brother and girlfriend. I got to see the gift I had gotten him for anniversary and I understand why he loves it. It’s a bulb that’s like freaking amazing. It notifies when you get a text, it changes color (all of the rainbow colors), it can wake you up in the mornings. Honestly, it’s amazing and I now want one haha
  • My second anniversary gift from my boyfriend came in and it’s all I’ve used this week. I seriously love it! It’s a wooden bookmark and it’s great!

  • My uncle got me a Pentel Touch pen that I love! I’ve been practicing calligraphy and this pen has now helped me even more. I wanted to show you guys what I had done but I messed up the page pretty bad so here’s only a cursive handwriting 🙂

  • My best friend and I went to a coffee shop that we had only visited once and didn’t want to go back because they had taken more than 45 minutes to give us wraps and iced coffee’s. We decided to check it out again and I have to say, they have improved!

It's Not Me, It's You IMG_7132

The title It’s Not Me, It’s You was what got me so interested in this story! I got Always a Cowboy from Little Bird Publicity, which I started yesterday (Friday). Expect a review on Monday 🙂

Tonya from Lilybloombooks gifted me her copy of With Malice! Thank you so much! Lisa from Lost in Lit was hosting a giveaway on her Instagram of book-themed pins and I won! I absolutely love them!

perfectly imperfect

I got to 61% when I decided to DNF. I started liking the story and then I just couldn’t keep reading. I disliked the characters a lot.

roman crazy always a cowboy overdrive

I’m savoring Roman Crazy. I’m loving the foods and the setting so much. I don’t want this book to end! I just started Always a Cowboy so the verdict is still out there. I’ll be starting Overdrive! I forgot my tour is for this week *hides face in shame*

  1. Sounds like you had a great weekend with your boyfriend’s brother and girlfriend. How great that you get along well – bodes well if things become long-term.

    I love the bookmark! Gorgeous!

  2. The Book Disciple

I am totally checking out that bulb!! How cool! And I totally know how you feel about Perfectly Imperfect!! It was kind of a struggle for me as well. Loved the message; not so fond of the delivery! And you have like the prettiest handwriting!

That pen sounds great and your writing there is really cool, I have always liked that style. 🙂 Always a Cowboy looks good just cause I am a sucker for cowboy books…lol. 🙂 Enjoy your reading!

  4. Everyone’s into calligraphy nowadays! My daughter has been searching high and low for good pens as well. Oh, and that coffee shop goodies look so good.

Have a great week, and happy reading!

    • Haha yes. My aunt was hooked since she was in college and a few years back she taught me a little bit. Now I want to fully learn so she’s excited about it. You can check in Amazon or check lissletters on Instagram or bydawnnicole. They have some great recs for pens 🙂

  5. Oh wow the writing is good! My penmanship is awful and I could never do calligraphy! I’m glad the book finally made it! It’s crazy how long it look lol

    Love the socks btw!

  6. You should have no problem with calligraphy if your normal cursive looks like that. My handwriting is….schizophrenic at best. LOL! The coffee shop looks promising. I’m pretty jealous – we don’t have many coffee shops in my area, but you’re inspiring me to try out the ones that we do have!

I would love to learn calligraphy but my handwriting is terrible! Yours however is gorgeous!! I’m a little jealous 😉 Hope you have a better reading week. I hate when I have to DNF, but it happens more now than it used to. Hope you have a great week!

    • Aww thank you 🙂 I’d say it’s practice because when I started just a few days ago, I was horrible at it haha But before going to sleep I would write, write, write and it has paid off 🙂 I used to not DNF but there are so many better books out there to waste time on a book I won’t like.

    • Haha thanks!
I’m searching for a job. It’s hard to search here in PR since the economy is not so good. My boyfriend had been searching for a job since the beginning of the year and it was last week that he got one. It’s been tough :/ Every time I think about it, I get all stressed.

      Thank you!

The anniversary gifts are cute! Unfortunately, the man’s interests are expensive (guns, armor plating, etc.) Most of my gifts have been more home improvement. 🙂

  9. Your handwriting is sooo pretty! Can’t wait to see how you do with calligraphy! 45 minutes for wraps is crazy! Glad to see they’ve improved. I’m not sure I would have given them a second chance. lol I’m sad to see that Perfectly Imperfect was a DNF. I got that in one of my recent Bookworm Boxes and have been excited about it. Hopefully I will like it better.

    • Thank you! I know, right? I gave them a second chance because I love how the coffee shops looks inside and it’s the closest one I have. The rest have either bad lighting or are more than 15 minutes away from my house.
Maybe you would love it, but I really couldn’t deal with the characters :/

  10. Looks like another great week in books for you, Gen. Go you!

I can’t wait to read Roman Crazy and Overdrive. Love the pics on Instagram too.

    Have a great week!
