Happy Wednesday! Today, I’m participating in WWW Wednesday hosted by Taking on a World of Words. This meme is a way to share what you’ve read, what you’re reading, and what you plan to read next. All you have to do is answer three simple questions:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

Sourdough – I’m in the middle of this and loving it so much. I enjoyed Robin Sloan’s previous book and new I’d enjoy this one as well. I’ve been wanting to try and bake bread for a while now, and while reading this book decided to finally start! I’m in the process of making my starter now!

The Trial of Lizzie Borden – I’m participating in a group read of this book, which I thought was going to be a quick read. Even though the overall content is interesting, the writing is so dry and dense and overly descriptive. Why do I need to know how a few of the reporters that covered the trial styled their mustaches?!

When Summer Ends – I’m on Jessica Pennington’s street team, and reading this for review. Really enjoying this so far, and getting some Morgan Matson vibes from it!

The Perks of Being a Wallflower – One of my favorite books, that I’m rereading with a few people on Instagram. I’m still loving the book, and finding new things that I missed or forgot since the first time I read this.

More Than We Can Tell – I’m reading this because a friend at work and I keep recommending books for each other to read. It’s an okay book, but not one that I want to pick up, I have to keep reminding myself to read.

Recently Finished

Now or Never (4.5 reread) – I started rereading Victoria Denault’s San Francisco Thunder series this month, and recently finished up with the last book. Such an amazing conclusion to an amazing series!

The Stranger Beside Me (3.5) – Reading this for Jenna, Stop Reading‘s #MurderMondayBookClub. Overall I enjoyed learning more about Ted Bundy and Ann Rule’s relationship to him, but the book felt way too long and the end was just opinions on what Rule thought Bundy’s mind was like.

Barely Missing Everything (4.5) – Such an amazing book. I took turns reading and listening to the audiobook. So emotional, I sobbed at the end. Highly recommend this one.

The Summer of Jordi Perez (4) – Listened to the audiobook, the story was cute but I wasn’t a huge fan of the narrator. A quick, fun summer read!

Shadowland (3 reread) – Rereading one of my favorite series from middle school! This first book was a fun read that reminded me so much of why I initially loved the series so much. There were some uses of derogatory language that were kind of glossed over why it was wrong, but there definitely could have been a better job of it.

Reading Next

I have so many books I want to read that I don’t really know where I want to start next! Here are three I know I need/want to get to soon!

Ninth Key – The second book in Meg Cabot’s mediator series. I’m enjoying this reread and know I can get through this book in an afternoon.

Serious Moonlight – This book comes out next month, and I’m finally reading my copy of it! I love Jenn Bennett so much and can’t wait to read her new release!

A Duke By Default – I’m really enjoying Alyssa Cole’s Reluctant Royals novels/novellas, and need to read this before I move on to my eARC of A Prince on Paper.

Have you read any of these books? Let me know what you thought of them down below!

    • I know, sometimes it’s kind of a problem but also super helpful since there’s so many books I want to read! I’m really enjoying When Summer Ends, and pretty sure I’m going to love Serious Moonlight because it’s Jenn Bennett!

  1. I liked Denault’s other series, but I loved her Thunder series. That family owned my heart. I liked Jordi too. The unlikely friendship and the hamburger tasting were among some of the favorite parts. Perks <3 How could I not love a kid, who I share my favorite song of all-time with? I am excited about Pennington's book, because I LOVED her first book.
